Burner MAX / XGD3 Compatible Burners

List of currently compatible drives, as listed by c4eva

Liteon iHAS124B = baseline model

(other models just add extra features that you'll probably never use)

Liteon iHAS224B = 124 + LightScribe
Liteon iHAS324B = 124 + SmartErase
Liteon iHAS424B = 124 + LightScribe + SmartErase (or = 224 + SmartErase)
Liteon iHAS524B = 124 + LabelTag + SmartErase
Liteon iHAS624B = 124 + LabelTag + LightScribe + SmartErase (or = 524 + LightScribe)

[9:20pm] <@c4eva> some cross models may work also
[9:21pm] <@c4eva> havent tested A models
[9:21pm] <@c4eva> Y is NEC, wont work
[9:23pm] <@c4eva> I assume they only make B now

‎[9:27pm] <@c4eva> iXtreme Burner Max firmware will be released this weekend!
[9:27pm] <@c4eva> for all models!

[9:30pm] <@c4eva> A=bad (old chipset, not currently tested)

[9:40pm] <@c4eva> A or B = MTK (Mediatek) chipset

[9:45pm] <+c4eva> Y is NEC chipset

[9:46pm] <+c4eva> Y=bad

[9:46pm] <+c4eva> dont think they have made Y for awhile

Find more info on these drives here... http://club.myce.com/f44/

I think it is possible to cross flash these drives, meaning if you buy the cheaper base model (iHAS124) you can flash it with the firmware from a higher model, to enable those features.

Only Verbatim discs have be shown to complete burning without error. (don't be a fucking tight arse, buy quality discs) you have been warned :)

I'm Moving

My current blog is located at http://stainedfuture.wordpress.com, but I've had enough of that shit, so I'll be transferring all content from there to here, manually :(

Wordpress has  really been getting on my tits lately (slow, buggy), so hopefully Blogger is a bit better. We shall see.

The templates available are not as nice, but is seems a lot faster, so I guess I'll just have to deal with that.

Please bookmark this new address, http://darkfib3r.blogspot.com and keep an eye out for new content coming soon :)
